The League of Women Voters believes that:  “Every eligible voter should have a fair and equal opportunity to register to vote and to cast their ballot. Yet millions of Americans miss the opportunity to vote because they don’t know how to register or they miss their state’s deadline.”

Voter registration deadline for new registrants to receive a ballot for the November 4th, 2025 Special Election is October 14th, 2025.  Anyone in Lane County who needs to register or update their registration has three options:

(1) register online at www.oregonvotes.gov by 11:59 pm Oct. 14,

(2) deliver a voter registration form to the Lane County Elections Office at 275 W. 10th Ave. in Eugene by 5 pm or

(3) mail the form postmarked by that date. Voters can also double-check to ensure that their registration is current and accurate at the Oregon Votes website.

Four districts in Lane County will receive ballots
This November only registered voters in four Lane County districts—the cities of Springfield and Dune City, Lane Fire Authority, and South Lane Fire & Rescue—will receive ballots for  measures applicable to their districts.

“Voting matters in all elections, but especially in deciding local issues that have a direct impact on our daily lives,” said Terry Parker, board president of the League of Women Voters of Lane County. “People who exercise their right to vote in local elections have a strong voice in democracy close to home.”
