Senator Wyden speaks to 1500 at his townhall meeting

Wyden Townhall

Wyden Townhall draws 1500 residents

Senator Wyden addressed a large crowd at LCC on Sunday. He answered questions from the audience for over and hour. He has presented a bill that would require anyone running for president to provide the public their tax returns for the past five years. He has also been advocating for a national vote by mail system. Why should Oregon be the only state to benefit from this easy form of voting. When asked about the Russian connection to the current president, he stated that he will work to ensure that documents are available to the public, that any investigation should have subpoena power, hearings should be open to the public and that the Attorney General Jeff Sessions should recuse himself from any investigation. Other subjects included Social Security, the EPA and how to affect lawmakers in Washington. More town halls are coming next weekend.
