Voter Service is a major League contribution to our communities, providing nonpartisan information on registration, candidates, ballot measures, voting rights and effective ways to influence public policy. Use these sources to learn about local & state candidates and ballot measures.
- LWV Voters’ Guide (Links during election cycles)
- Sponsors candidate forums/debates.
- Sponsors informational meetings on local and state ballot measures.
- They Represent You (TRY) our contact list of city, county and state public officials representing Lane County residents. Paper copies at the League office.
- Request a speaker Trained volunteers share well-researched information that neither supports or opposes any political party, candidate or ballot measure. When requesting a speaker provide desired date and time, location, size of group and topic(s) of interest. Topics include:
- Local and State Ballot Measures (during election season). Presentations provide measure background, discuss pros and cons.
- Voter registration and the mechanics of voting
- Importance of voting and civic involvement
