Development | Fundraising

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and contributions to the LWVLC are tax deductible to  the extent allowed by law. EIN# 51-0197171

Our financial support comes primarily from our membership and the community. Just a small percentage of our membership dues stays with our local League and we could not achieve our goals of voter education and citizen involvement without financial contributions and fundraising. Our membership extends to the League of Women Voters of Oregon and The League of Women Voters of the US, and we support League policies and positions at every level.

There are a number of ways to give to our organization:

  • Become a member. Renew your membership.
  • Adding a donation above and beyond your annual membership dues.
  • A one-time gift or a monthly donation, in memory or in honor of ____, by mail or online. 175 W B Street Bldg E2, Springfield, Oregon 97477
  • A bequest gift in your will or trust is a way to create a lasting legacy for our organization. To be sure your bequest is honored, please consult with an estate planning professional.

The LWVLC is a careful steward of our financial gifts which allow us to provide outreach for voter registration, educate our community about important ballot issues, and engage citizens with their elected officials.

We rely on multiple projects and efforts year-round to fund our general operations with our annual fruit and nut sale, advertising in our membership directory, and donations from supporters within our community.

Our annual fruit and nut sale of top quality oranges, grapefruit, apples and local hazelnuts has been our largest fundraiser to date. In addition, over one hundred and fifteen orders were purchased and donated to Food for Lane County this past year.

Our annual LWVLC Directory includes member contact information and the League of Women Voters’ policy positions for our national, state, and local Leagues.

We offer business advertising space in the Directory which can be purchased as business card-size ads, full page and double  page ads.

We also acknowledge our advertisers on our website and in our monthly newsletter, the Argus.
