Unit Discussion Meetings are held monthly from September through May.
All meetings are open to the public.
Unit Discussion Meetings are sometimes called the “Heart of the League”. Members and guests meet for 1-2 hours for a member-led discussion from committee research on a current topic. Our league advocacy positions are voted on at these discussions.
Leader “Briefings” are held the week before the unit discussion meetings. The goal is to prepare unit discussion leaders about the specific topic. A study committee, of members, provide a fully researched discussion guide on each topic. Sometimes a speaker attends the meeting to provide additional background information.
EveryMember Materials are sent, only to members, on the months topic. We encourage everyone to read these materials prior to the Unit Discussion Meeting.
2024-2025 Program Co-Chairs are Sharon Amasha & Lori Barker | program@lwvlc.org.
