Nonpartisan Policy

The League of Women Voters does not support or oppose any political party or any candidate.

As an organization dedicated to both voter education and advocacy, the League takes strong stances on policy issues relating to voting rights, civil rights, and other issues of importance to members and the public.

VOTE411 Social Media Blitz Toolkit: May 1, 2024

On May 1, 2024, the League is asking all Oregon volunteers who use any social media to participate in a mass publicity campaign for VOTE411. VOTE411 is scheduled to go live around April 15, so by May 1 its data should be as thorough as it’s going to get. Ballots are mailed in Oregon starting on May 1, and the three weeks that follow are when most voters will be looking for information about candidates and ballot measures.

Voter Education

flyer In May Eugene voters will have an opportunity to decide whether or not they want to change how they vote for the positions of Mayor and City Council with Measure 20-34 STAR Voting for Eugene.

The League and the Eugene Public Library are co-sponsoring voter education sessions to give Eugene residents a chance to learn more about how STAR voting works.  The Equal Vote Coalition will be presenting.
